Serbia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>According to the official website of Serbia<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-legalisation-of-documents-so-called-full-legalisation\">Legalisation of documents (so-called &#8220;full legalisation&#8221;)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Official documents issued in the territory of the Republic of Serbia for use abroad are certified on the basis of the&nbsp;<strong>Law on Legalisation of Documents in International Communication<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>(&#8220;Official Gazette of the SFRY&#8221; 6\/1973 and &#8220;Official Gazette of SCG&#8221;). No. 1\/2003 \u2013 Constitutional Charter).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Certification of an official document within the meaning of this Law confirms the authenticity of the signature of the person who signed the document and the authenticity of the seal affixed to the document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a rule, the source, the original document, is certified.&nbsp;A translation is legalised in the same way as the original document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. The President of the court of first instance, or a judge appointed by him, certifies the authenticity of documents issued by authorities located in the territory of that court with his signature and the court&#8217;s seal;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Serbia verifies the signature of the President of the court and the court&#8217;s seal on documents issued in the Republic of Serbia;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia confirms the signature and seal of the Ministry of Justice with the signature of an authorised person and the Ministry&#8217;s seal, based on the deposited signature of the person authorised to certify;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Documents certified in this manner are submitted to a foreign authority (the diplomatic-consular mission of the country where the document will be used, accredited in the Republic of Serbia).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Public documents issued by republican and provincial authorities and organisations are not subject to prior certification by the court and the Ministry of Justice, but are certified directly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-\u043f\u0440\u043e\u0446\u0435\u0434\u0443\u0440\u0430-\u0441\u043e\u0433\u043b\u0430\u0441\u043d\u043e-\u0433\u0430\u0430\u0433\u0441\u043a\u043e\u0439-\u043a\u043e\u043d\u0432\u0435\u043d\u0446\u0438\u0438-\u043e\u0431-\u043e\u0442\u043c\u0435\u043d\u0435-\u043d\u0435\u043e\u0431\u0445\u043e\u0434\u0438\u043c\u043e\u0441\u0442\u0438-\u043b\u0435\u0433\u0430\u043b\u0438\u0437\u0430\u0446\u0438\u0438-\u0438\u043d\u043e\u0441\u0442\u0440\u0430\u043d\u043d\u044b\u0445-\u043e\u0444\u0438\u0446\u0438\u0430\u043b\u044c\u043d\u044b\u0445-\u0434\u043e\u043a\u0443\u043c\u0435\u043d\u0442\u043e\u0432-\u0430\u043f\u043e\u0441\u0442\u0438\u043b\u044c\">Procedure under the Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents (Apostille)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If official documents issued in the Republic of Serbia are used in countries that have signed the Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents, their authenticity will be certified by the president of the court or an authorised judge of the competent court of first instance with their signature and the court&#8217;s seal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notarisation under the Hague Convention is carried out both on the original document itself and on its annex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The form of certification is specifically provided for by the Hague Convention and is made in the form of a stamp into which certain data is entered (the &#8220;Apostille&#8221; stamp).<br>&nbsp;<br>A certificate issued in the prescribed manner confirms the authenticity of the signature, the identity of the person who signed the document, as well as the authenticity of the seal or stamp with which the document is affixed.<br><br>The signature and seal on the certificate (stamp) are exempt from any further authentication, and a document certified in this way is suitable for use in all countries that have signed the Hague Convention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hague Convention does not apply to administrative documents relating to a commercial or customs transaction, nor to documents issued by diplomatic or consular representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Republic of Serbia, the court of first instance at the location of the authority that issued the relevant document is competent to certify documents under the Hague Convention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>You can find out which countries are parties to the Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents on the website of the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hcch.net\/index_en.php?act=conventions.status&amp;cid=41\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Hague Conference website<\/strong><\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-\u0432\u0435\u043d\u0441\u043a\u0430\u044f-\u043a\u043e\u043d\u0432\u0435\u043d\u0446\u0438\u044f-\u043e-\u0432\u044b\u0434\u0430\u0447\u0435-\u0432\u044b\u043f\u0438\u0441\u043e\u043a-\u0438\u0437-\u0440\u0435\u0435\u0441\u0442\u0440\u043e\u0432-\u043d\u0430-\u043d\u0435\u0441\u043a\u043e\u043b\u044c\u043a\u0438\u0445-\u044f\u0437\u044b\u043a\u0430\u0445-1976-\u0433\">Vienna Convention on the Issue of Multilingual Extracts from Civil Status Registers of 1976<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>Extracts from registers issued on multilingual forms may be used in the states parties to the Vienna Convention on the Issue of Multilingual Extracts from Civil Status Registers of 1976.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>You can check which countries are parties to this Convention on&nbsp;<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ciec1.org\/SITECIEC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>this website<\/strong><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-\u043a\u043e\u0433\u0434\u0430-\u043b\u0435\u0433\u0430\u043b\u0438\u0437\u0430\u0446\u0438\u044f-\u043d\u0435-\u0442\u0440\u0435\u0431\u0443\u0435\u0442\u0441\u044f\">When legalisation is not required<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Legalisation of official documents is not required, nor is the &#8220;Apostille&#8221;
